Gardens Day-traditionally the May Spring Bank Holiday Sunday; a tour of village gardens open to the public from 2pm, including those of The Manor House, usually with a guest traditional side or a side who have chosen to perform the Ilmington dances.

 

St George’s Day– 23rd April; dancing at the Church of St George, Lower Brailes followed by an evening of Morris Dancing and song , usually with invited guest Morris sides at The George Hotel.

 

May Day-1st May; dancing at dawn 0530am (approx.) on Ilmington Downs at Larkstoke; the highest point in Warwickshire 842 feet amsl (52 04.88N 001 43.69W). There then follows a tour of Ilmington until breakfast at 8am. Whenever the day falls upon a week-end or Bank Holiday we traditionally meet up with other local sides for a lunch.

 

Boxing Day- 26th DecemberA ‘Mummers’ tour starting in  Shipston-on-Stour, traditionally visiting the sheltered homes for the elderly, then continuing to  The Howard Arms,Ilmington at 1pm and The Red Lion, Ilmington, at 2pm (timings may vary).  The Morris side perform the traditional village Mummers play.
